Description

Oreopanax nicaraguensis (also called Mountain Panax, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Araliaceae. It is a shrub or small tree, growing to 6 m tall. It is native to Central America, from Costa Rica to Panama, and to South America, from Colombia to Peru. It is found in wet montane forests, at altitudes of 500–2,000 m.
