Balanites pedicellaris (also called African Balanites, among many other common names) is a small to medium-sized tree, growing up to 10 m tall. It is native to Africa, and is found in dry savannahs and woodlands. The leaves are simple, alternate, and ovate-oblong in shape, and the bark is grey-brown and scaly.
