Vellozia cinerascens (also called Ashy Vellozia, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Brazil. It has an erect stem, with linear leaves that are arranged in a spiral pattern and are covered with short hairs. It grows in dry areas, such as rocky outcrops, and in open areas, such as savannas.
