Description
Tectaria barteri (also called Barter's Tectaria, among many other common names) is a large, terrestrial fern native to Central and South America. It has a creeping rhizome and large, feathery fronds. It is found in moist, shady areas, such as swamps and wet meadows.

Tectaria barteri has small, yellowish-green flowers that are borne in clusters on the leaf axils. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings have long, narrow leaves.

Tectaria barteri is native to tropical Africa and can be found in parts of Cameroon, Congo, and Gabon.
