Description
Potamogeton billupsii (also called Billups' Pondweed, among many other common names) is an aquatic plant native to Europe, Asia and North America. It is a submerged plant with long, narrow leaves that are usually arranged in whorls of three. It grows in shallow, still or slow-moving water, and is found in ponds, lakes, ditches and slow-moving rivers.

Potamogeton billupsii has small, white flowers, small, round, black seeds and seedlings that are initially reddish-purple.
Cultivation and Propagation
Potamogeton billupsii can be propagated by seed or division. It prefers moist soil in full sun to part shade. It is a good choice for ponds, lakes, and streams.
