Description

Gunnarella laxus (also called Loose Gunnarella, among many other common names) is a species of orchid in the genus Gunnarella. It is a small to medium-sized epiphyte with a short, creeping rhizome and thin, fleshy roots. It is native to New Caledonia and grows in humid forests at elevations of up to 1,200 meters.

Gunnarella laxus is an epiphytic orchid native to South America. It can be cultivated in a well-draining, humus-rich potting mix, such as a combination of bark, peat, and perlite. It prefers bright, indirect light and temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C). Water regularly, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Propagation is done through division of the mature clumps.
