Chysis archilae (also called Archila's Chysis, among many other common names) is a species of orchid native to Central America. It is an epiphytic or lithophytic plant, growing to 0.3–1 m (1–3 ft) tall, with linear leaves and small yellow flowers in summer.

Cultivation and Propagation

Chysis archilae is an evergreen shrub that grows up to 4 m (13 ft) tall. It is native to the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Propagation is by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a warm, moist environment and kept at a temperature of 25-30°C (77-86°F). Cuttings should be taken from the tips of the branches and rooted in a moist medium.
