Description

Phrynium rubrum (also called Red Phrynium, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Marantaceae. It is native to tropical Asia and is found in moist lowland forests. It is a small herb, usually reaching up to 1 m in height. The stems are thin and erect, while the leaves are ovate-elliptic, with pointed tips and smooth margins.
