Description
Clinopodium kunashirense (also called Kunashir Basil, Kunashir Wild Basil, and Mountain Balm, among many other common names) is a perennial herb that is native to Asia. It is found in moist woods, thickets, and along streams and roadsides. It has small white flowers and grows to a height of about 1 foot (30 cm).

Clinopodium kunashirense is a perennial herb that can be grown in full sun or partial shade. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and can tolerate some drought. Propagation is by seed or division of clumps in spring or autumn.
Where to Find Clinopodium kunashirense
Clinopodium kunashirense can be found in the western United States, from California to Wyoming, and in northern Mexico.
