Mittenothamnium subpatens (also called Mitten's False Broom Moss, among many other common names) is a species of moss found in the Northern Hemisphere. It is a small, tufted moss with a yellow-green color and a slightly glossy surface. It is native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and is found in wet, shady habitats.
