Cultivation and Propagation

Vicia micrantha is a hardy annual that is easy to grow from seed. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Sow the seeds directly in the garden in early spring, or start them indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant the seedlings 12-18 inches apart. The plant will bloom in late spring or early summer and will self-seed if left to go to seed. Deadheading will help to prolong the blooming period.

Where to Find Vicia micrantha

Vicia micrantha is native to the Mediterranean region, including in parts of France, Italy, Spain, and Greece.
