Description
Entodon argyreus (also called Common Silver-moss, among many other common names) is a species of moss found in North America, Europe, and Asia. It is a small, tufted moss with a yellow-green to yellow-brown color. It grows in moist, shady places such as woodlands, meadows, and roadsides. It prefers acidic soil and is often found growing on soil, rocks, and tree trunks.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Entodon argyreus has small, white flowers with yellowish anthers. The seeds are small, black and shiny. The seedlings are small and have a single, thin stem.
