Description
Carex uber (also called Spreading Sedge, among many other common names) is a perennial sedge that grows in tufts. It is native to North America, Europe, and Asia, and is found in wet meadows, marshes, and along streams and lakes. It has a long, narrow, light green leaf blade and a yellow-brown flower spike.

Carex uber has small, yellowish-green flowers. Its seeds are small and black, and its seedlings are small, with thin, delicate leaves.
