Description

Tradescantia andrieuxii (also called Andrieux's spiderwort, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Commelinaceae. It is native to the southeastern United States. It is a perennial herb growing up to 1 m (3.3 ft) tall. The leaves are long and narrow, and the flowers are purple. It is found in dry woodlands, prairies and open grasslands.
