Description
Calophyllum vergens (also called Alexandrian laurel, among many other common names) is a tropical evergreen tree native to India, Sri Lanka, and the Andaman Islands. It grows up to 15 meters tall and has a straight trunk with a dense, rounded crown. Its leaves are glossy green, and its flowers are white and fragrant. It prefers moist, tropical climates and is often found in coastal areas, as well as in forests and near rivers.
