Description

Fridericia speciosa (also called Showy Fridericia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Bignoniaceae. It is native to the Amazon region of South America. It is a shrub or small tree that typically grows to a height of 6–15 m. Its leaves are pinnate, with 7–13 leaflets, and its flowers are white or yellowish in color.

Fridericia speciosa is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach heights of up to 8 feet. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is best done through stem cuttings. Take a 4-6 inch cutting from a healthy stem and remove the lower leaves. Dip the cutting in rooting hormone and place in a pot filled with a mixture of sand and peat moss. Keep the soil moist and place the pot in a warm, bright location. Rooting should occur in 4-6 weeks.
