Breutelia auriculata (also called Common Breutelia, among many other common names) is a species of moss in the family Hypnaceae. It is found in Europe, Asia, and North America. It prefers moist, shady habitats, such as woodlands, and grows in mats or tufts on rocks, tree trunks, and soil.

Breutelia auriculata has small, yellow-green flowers that are arranged in clusters. The seeds are small and round, and the seedlings are thin and delicate.
