Cultivation and Propagation

Fissistigma zippelii is a fast-growing, evergreen climber that can reach up to 10 m in length. It is native to tropical Asia. It can be propagated by cuttings or by layering. Cuttings should be taken in the spring or summer and planted in a well-drained soil mix. Layering can be done by bending a branch down to the ground and burying it in the soil. The branch will then form roots and can be cut away from the parent plant and transplanted.
